Program Extramural Activities

It is to be noted that the extramural activities may in some instances require independent financial
contribution above associated program cost.

Activities include : Hiking, Gym, a splash pool (for female residents), Horse-riding, Long-distance Running,
a Library, Tennis, Sauna, Pool, Badminton, Cricket and Golf,

Work and educational details

Work details: There are various working stations within our facility, which offer the resident the
opportunity to learn a skill or, if already skilled, the chance to teach others.

Woodwork:
There is a fully functional woodwork shop, where the residents learn the skills of carpentry.

Vegetable Patch:
The residents work in the veggie patch. The vegetables that are produced in the garden supply the
ministry with fresh produce.

Mechanical workshop:
The resident has the opportunity to learn mechanics with a qualified mechanic, whose business services
the community.

Community Building Projects:
The drug educational council offers our skilled or unskilled residents work in the community, helping with
restoration, painting, building, electrical work and many other services. These services are mainly for the
disadvantaged community. Often the resident is paid for his labour, but this is not expected.

Farming:
The institution has a fully functional farm; many of the residents have a keen interest in this workstation.
